TinCaps rally to force extras, but fall in 10th to Loons

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The TinCaps overcame a five-run deficit in the late innings on Friday night, but slipped in the tenth, losing 10-6 to Great Lakes.

Friday marked the first game in the second half of the schedule for teams in the Midwest League.

Great Lakes went up 5-0 after a two-run homer from Jonny DeLuca in the top of the eighth. The TinCaps would then score three runs on three separate wild pitches. Robert Hassell III tied things up with a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth.

The Loons responded with five runs in the top of the tenth, and held on to earn the victory.
