Extreme heat moves back into area today

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Temperatures will near record highs and triple digits during the afternoon and evening. The meager humidity will be enough to make it feel like 100 degrees or more across the area.

Tonight drops into the mid 70s with a few clouds across the area. Tomorrow is still hot, but a few degrees cooler than today with highs in the mid 90s.

Thursday remains in the 80s but 90s return Friday.

The weekend will start hot but next week brings a return of near average temperatures. We’ll have the latest on the heat coming up at 12 and 5PM on ABC21.
