Pleasant weekend, heat returns by Monday
First Alert weather day issued on Tuesday
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - After a long period of heat and humidity, more pleasant weather will move in for the weekend.
Throughout the weekend, rain chances are basically zero. No need to worry about cancelling any outdoor plans. Temperatures on Saturday will only be in the mid-to-upper 70s. That and the low humidity will make for a very welcomed break from the heat.
Overnight into Sunday morning, mostly clear skies are expected. Temperatures drop down into the low-to-mid 50s.
On Sunday, much closer to where temperatures are supposed to be for this time of year. Highs near 80 and mostly sunny skies.
Heat and humidity starts to return on Monday and we’ve issued a FIRST ALERT weather day on Tuesday, 06/21/22 because of the high heat index temperatures that are expected.
