Rescue Mission opens cooling shelter

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Rescue Mission, 404 E. Washington Boulevard, will be open daily from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. for anyone that needs a place to stay cool.

The Rescue Mission says the doors are open year-round to anyone who needs shelter or meals, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served at 7 a.m., noon, and 5 p.m. daily.

The City of Fort Wayne also has a cooling center open in the lobby of the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory.
