Students off to the races for SACS Elementary Mile

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Students in Southwest Allen County Schools were off to the races Friday night.
After training for the past two months, students from each of the elementary schools in that district hit the course for the SACS Elementary Mile.
The race is for those in grades three through five and it takes place each year at Summit Middle School. The girls ran first and then the boys ran.
Each school has its own Running Club to help train the kids.
Awards were given to individual winners and to overall school winners in each category.
