One more dry day before rain chances return

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Though high temperatures still managed to climb into the mid 80s this afternoon, dew points are about 15º cooler, meaning the heat index isn’t relevant today!

Tonight will be about as cool as last night with lows settling into the upper 50s.

Friday will also be another sunny and dry day with highs in the low to mid 80s coupled with low humidity. The weekend won’t be quite as predictable, I’m afraid. Not only will the mugginess return, but scattered afternoon showers/isolated storms will be possible both Saturday and Sunday.

The good news is numerous storms/severe weather is not expected.
