Man arrested in Lemonwood Court officer-involved shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department arrested one man they say was involved in a police action shooting that happened on Lemonwood Court Friday night.
Officers arrested 36-year-old Thomas A. May Saturday evening. Police say he was released from the hospital and taken into custody. His preliminary charges include six counts of Criminal Recklessness with a deadly weapon (Level 6 Felony), two counts of Intimidation (Level 5 Felony), four counts of Pointing a Loaded Firearm (Level 6 Felony), and one count of Neglect of a Dependent.
Friday night Fort Wayne police say paramedics rushed a man to the hospital in non-life threatening condition after an officer-involved shooting Friday night involving a Fort Wayne officer.
Police dispatchers told ABC21 News that officers were first called to a home in the 800 block of Lemonwood Court near Northrop High School off Coldwater Road around 7:45. They say an armed man was threatening suicide.
Police have not said exactly what led to the officer firing a gun in the incident.
