Crews investigating fire at home of man recently charged with murder

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fire crews are investigating after a fire broke out at the home of a man who was recently charged with murder.
Fort Wayne Fire Department officials were called to the 1200 block of Liberty Street around 10 a.m. for a house fire. When crews arrived, they found the fire was coming from the attic.
Online court records show 19-year-old Dakota Waudby, who was charged with murder in connection to the shooting Sunday at Abors of Southtown Square on Old Decatur Road, lives in the home.
They say three people and two dogs were inside at the time but were able to escape with no injuries. At the time of this report, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
