Grant Me Hope: Meet Mariyah
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Hi, my name’s Mariyah. I’m 13 and I’m in eighth grade. Most of my friends just say i’m funny and some of my friends say I’m smart, like a go-with-the-flow type person.
If I can learn anything, I would want to learn about cancer and like how to cure it. I like helping people and helping animals. I want to be an information technologist or a web designer because I like coding stuff. So, I was failing math at one point in time and like I would get the test right so they knew that I knew how to do it. It’s just that I never got it right. And then eventually they started realizing that like I was better at it with like tech and stuff. When I’m using math that’s like... that’ll help me build a website and stuff i’m better at it.
I like to go skating. A Roller Rink is like there’s outdoor ones but there’s also indoor ones, which I feel are the best ones. And their floors are really really slippery when you have like regular shoes on but I like them. I like to go and just like chill and sit and watch tv. I’m a tomboy. I don’t like girly stuff. I don’t like being like girly. I just feel like it doesn’t just suit my personality.
Like, I want a family that’s like fun and knows how to roller skate. Also, I want like a family that like wants to be around their family-- a family that’s like a go-with-the-road type family. I like to like play games with them also. I’m a very positive person, usually.
