Wabash man dies in collision between mini-van, semi

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 28-year-old Wabash man was killed in a collision between the mini-van he was driving and a semi-tractor Thursday morning.
The accident happened about 10:20 a.m. on State Road 124 at America Road.
Indiana State Police says Jason Sturgill was driving a 2002 Chrysler mini-van, headed south on America Road, when he failed to adhere to signage and stop at the intersection.
The mini-van struck a 2018 Freightliner driven by a Columbia City man.
Sturgill died at the scene. A 2-year-old girl in the mini-van was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The truck driver was treated for minor injuries.
Investigators do not suspect driver impairment as a contributing factor.
